fortunately i am payin the rent so i don't live in the barn or in the junk cars - there is a stray cat, nefertiti, and her two kittens livin back there though. sadly i recently had to retire the VW wagon -- 234000 good miles. it will likely remain a yard ornament or become a small mammal house - it is hard to part with.
we don't have the big, big blue or 7200 feet, but it is friggin beautiful here in east tennessee. tire swing is reserved for you until pre-bonnaroo 2008 tour, if not sooner.
It looks beautiful. It reminds me of a painting of a southern summer where a grandmother is knitting on the porch waiting for her children/grandchildren to come and visit for the 4th of July. God...am I just rambling on?
Anyway, I love reading about the adventures you are having there; I almost feel as if I am with you when I read them (would maybe seem more real if I were to visit?). I am also glad to see that you are surrounding by good friends and family.

It is one of the beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself. --- Ralph Waldo Emerson
So in all that you do, in all of your life, I wish you the strength and the grace to make the choices which will allow you and your neighbor to become the best of whoever you are. --- Mr. Rogers
