My Mommio celebrated a milestone birfday yesterday. Mommio, B, and I celebrated by strolling through the mountain metropolis of Asheville, North Cackalacky. There we had a fabulous dinner of seaweed salad, sesame tofu, and basil eggplant over mung bean noodles. I would travel an hour and half again just to eat that all over again. To complete the birfday adventure, we window shopped, gawked at the diversity of Asheville locals and hippies, and bought some "must-haves" (eg, fireballs and chocolate taffy) at the Mast General Store. Mommio also received the most hideous color of crocs for her birfday - lime green; she loved em! 
Ember turned ONE YEAR OLD on October 1. We celebrated with a trip to Max Patch, otherwise known as Pupler Patch, North Cackalacky, or Almost-Dog-Heaven, North Cackalacky. She is such a beautiful pupler and growing up so fast.
that is such a great pic of embler pup--if only she were so friendly and daring in real life ;) I try and remind myself that the last time I was at your house she DID curl up with me...but I will forever miss Buksi.
