We are so Tennessee
This is me with Amy. Amy and I go on dates with eachother. Last week we went to a concert together (see clip at the bottom of post); tonight we are going to a singles party in Johnson City together. Amy picked me up in spin class a few months ago. Since then we are exceedingly inseperable. We workout together a few times a week and I tell her "ride it harder, bitch" when she is on her bike next to me. I love sweatin it out with her, oh yeh, harder baby (insert wink). We hit the bars in Knoxville and have finally learned the hotspot on Fridays is Market Square and Saturdays is West Knoxville. However, often times, we find ourselves amongst geriatrics or slutty college girls. If we happen to find worthy ponies to rope, Amy and I don't compete for the same one. She lets me stalk the young, unbridled ponies and I let her stalk older ponies with baggage. We are both huntin for stallions though we know we aren't goin to find the special one on the bar scene. So mostly while we are out we have a big pity party for ourselves, talking about those who've dumped us and moved on, while we find rejection hard to swallow and crippling to the heart. But, but, but... we know we are friggin awesome and we work together to let it all go. On a less serious note, when Amy and I are together, we often find ourselves scratchin our pretty lil heads, thinkin: We are so Tennessee. Sometimes we drive around at night lookin at stars, hay bales, the river, and cows. We turn on the radio and have a dance party in the car. "If we only had some pot brownies", I said, "We'd be sooo Tennessee." When we are being tight with our pocket books, I use my Walmart giftcards (compliments of my clean safety record at work) to buy us dinner and a warming face mask. Then we steal beers from the neighbor's refrigerator.
On our date last week, Amy & I went to a country music show, Keith Urban - who is surprisingly a decent guitar player. At least for now, Amy is my better half!! Like it or not, babe!!!
