I present you with a new series of words and definitions that derive from a very common adjective, awesome. Please consider adding the words below to next year's edition of your dictionary.

Awesomest (adj.) (ô'səm-ist )
1. the highest degree of awe, admiration, or wonder ever
2. the pivotal, premier, and/or highest degree of awesome
3. Slang: roughly 110% more awesome than awesome
In a sentence:
According to one fifth grader, the awesomest job is that of an economist for Woods Hole Research Center.
The awesomest pupler, Buksi-Bear, is dearly missed.
The awesomest chocolate milk comes from the Homestead Creamery in Roanoke, Virginia.

Awesomestly (adv.) (ô'səm-ist-leigh)
1. having the ability to impress the senses and arouse the senses to the highest degree ever
2. having the ability to arouse admiration, awe, or respect at the highest level ever
In a sentence:
Sometimes friends become lovers because they awesomestly match eachother toe to toe and heart to heart.
The sun’s rays reflect purple brilliance awesomestly on the mountains of West Virginia.

1. a person who habitually sees, does, or anticipates wonderful and impressive events or experiences
2. an adherent of the doctrine of awesomism
Note: can apply to puplers as well as people
Antonym: couch potato, video game addict, pessimist, those who don't believe 'awesomest' is a word

  1. Michael, one of our IT guys at the center, walks up to me at the Christmas party last night...and says: "So, I hear your job is the "awesomest" job! I found you in the blogosphere" I raise one eyebrow.
    Apparently new google popups of "Woods Hole Research Center" are monitored--to look at press coverage, etc. HA.
