They want to suck your blood Buksi-Banjo

Ticks seem to be the product of one of Nature's foul moods. These nasty critters were hiding by the bucketful among the native warm season grasses yesterday, and pouncing on a clan of unsuspecting passerbys that were enjoying the sun and sites from the Seven Islands Wildlife Refuge.

Last night, the scathing tickies enjoyed crawling up to my bare skin, or digging for it; if you're one of my puplers, the tickies were, at their will, burying their heads under the pupler's skin layer and proceeding to drink all the blood they could get.

Today, I was late for work because I spent the morning locating the lil vampires on fluff-head Buksi-Banjo, and midnight-black Ember. It wasn't an easy task, especially while wielding a coffee mug. Neither was removing them with tweezers once the little vampires latched onto one of my wiggling, fluffy puppies. Searching for ticks in my pupler's fur turns into a love fest for them as they think I am grooming their coat and massaging their skin, even if I am prodding with a tweezer and spilling lukewarm coffee on them.

Please, check me for ticks!!!
